Does it matter what you wear at yoga?
What you wear to a yoga session can impact your performance and comfort. You will need to make sure you are comfortable and that your clothing can accommodate a wide range of movements and stretches. A good set of yoga clothing might include a t-shirt or vest top, and a pair of yoga leggings or shorts. If you're not comfortable in tight clothing, you can opt for different styles or yoga pants or tops, ensuring that the fabric is breathable and has moisture wicking properties with a good amount of stretch.

What do you wear to a beginner yoga class?
If you're just trying out yoga or are attending a beginner course, we'd recommend wearing breathable bottoms with plenty of stretch such as yoga leggings or shorts. Additionally you'll need a comfortable top. A tight fitting top or tank top is a good option as the fabric won't hang over your head when you are facing down, such as in downward dog. If you feel that you might struggle with grip, you might want to bring along some yoga socks or grip gloves too.

How many pairs of yoga pants do I need?
Yoga sessions can be very intense, especially if you're partaking in hot yoga. If you are planning to practise more than once per week, you should aim to own between three to five different pairs of yoga pants to save on washing. It's worth investing in a couple of different styles such as leggings and shorts to cater for the different seasons and the type of yoga session you're attending.
